Small amounts of leakage or construction moisture can lead to large amounts of damage. Loss of heat, corrosion of pipelines and operational interruptions are the consequences of such damage. For this reason, isoplus offers our customers a leakage and fault detection systems that enable continuous monitoring of entire pipelines for moisture penetration and damage to pipes. The system is aided by two cooper wires embedded in a bed of foam in addition to the use of various appropriate detection devices specifically designed for this purpose.

Accordingly, monitoring of networks consists of not only the casing joint area, but also every metre of the pipeline route. Right away, any minimal moisture penetration of the PUR rigid foam possibly due to welding seams or construction moisture, also in highly resistant areas, will be detected in the same way that damage to the PEHD casing pipe would.

With all systems provided by isoplus, two colour coded monitoring wires embedded in foam are integrated into the pipe lengths and all fittings during production. When these wires are connected to measurement equipment, leakage or other pipe defects can be detected and localized at an early stage. Measurement equipment with electronic components is installed in buildings, pipeline routes or appropriate stand-alone units, and is consequently protected as best as possible from premature wear and tear.
